VANCOUVER — Scenic Luxury Cruises & Tours has unveiled its 2028-2029 Worldwide Discovery Yachts Collection, introducing a range of enhanced all-inclusive benefits for guests sailing aboard Scenic Eclipse, Scenic Eclipse II and the new Scenic Ikon, which is set to debut in 2028.

The new collection features voyages to more than 100 countries across all seven continents and includes new suite benefits, exclusive shore experiences and complimentary helicopter flightseeing on select bookings.

COMPLIMENTARY HELICOPTER FLIGHTSEEING 

One of the headline additions is a complimentary helicopter flightseeing experience for guests who make Super Earlybird bookings on eligible voyages departing between April 2027 and April 2029. The offer includes a 20-minute helicopter flight in select destinations, or a 30-minute flight over Antarctica.

Scenic said its Discovery Yachts are equipped with two Airbus H130 helicopters, allowing guests to reach inland locations that are inaccessible to traditional cruise itineraries.

“We know from guests’ feedback that a helicopter flightseeing experience can reframe a journey,” said Jason Flesher, Scenic Group Director of Discovery Operations. “By including helicopter flightseeing experiences, we are quite literally elevating ultra-luxury discovery, giving guests perspectives that few travellers will ever experience by making these life-changing moments part of the extensive inclusion already provided and our guest’s personal stories for life.”

NEW SUITE BENEFITS

The company is also enhancing inclusions for guests staying in Panorama, Grand Panorama, Scenic Yacht Suite, Grand Terrace, Owner’s Penthouse and Ikon Penthouse suites.

Depending on suite category and itinerary, new benefits include private jet flights between Buenos Aires and Ushuaia on Antarctica Peninsula voyages, private chauffeur airport transfers, Scenic Discovery excursions on expedition and discovery cruises, and private half-day excursions with a personal guide on Signature Yacht Cruises in Europe, the Americas and New Zealand.

Examples of the exclusive experiences include private polar glacier landings with members of the Discovery Team, Zodiac and kayak excursions, wildlife encounters, after-hours museum visits, culinary experiences with local chefs and customized cultural tours.

EXPERIENCES FOR TOP SUITES

Owner’s Penthouse and Ikon Penthouse guests will receive additional exclusive privileges, including helicopter landing excursions to destinations such as golf courses, vineyards, restaurants and truffle farms in Europe. Antarctic itineraries may also include helicopter landings at locations such as Snow Hill Island to view emperor penguin colonies, the McMurdo Dry Valleys, the Ross Sea Ice and Patagonia.

Scenic Ikon will also introduce an exclusive Chairman’s Lounge for guests staying in the line’s top suite categories. The private venue will feature its own bar and allow guests to order from menus offered across the yacht’s 15 dining experiences.
