Riverside Luxury Cruises opens 2028 season with debut of Riverside Mahler

DENVER — Riverside Luxury Cruises is expanding its European river cruise program for 2028 with the debut of Riverside Mahler and additional departures across the Rhine, Main and Danube rivers.

Reservations are now open, with guests who book any 2028 sailing before June 30, 2027 eligible for an 18% discount on the sailing price across all suite categories and package types.

Launching in May 2028, Riverside Mahler will join Riverside Debussy on itineraries connecting the Rhine and Danube. Riverside Mozart will continue sailing the Upper and Lower Danube, while Riverside Ravel will explore France’s Rhône and Saône rivers.

The addition of Mahler will increase sailings through the Main-Danube Canal to 12 departures in 2028, up from four in 2026 and two in 2027. The program also includes 10 Budapest–Regensburg sailings, 10 Regensburg–Budapest sailings, two Dutch Waterways itineraries and three Lower Danube departures.

“The 2028 season gives travelers more ways to experience Europe by river, with Riverside Mahler joining Mozart, Debussy and Ravel,” said Jennifer Halboth, CEO, Riverside Luxury Cruises Americas. “The additional ship means we can offer more departures on some of our most popular itineraries, while new routes and expanded sailings on the Lower Danube and Dutch Waterways give guests even more choice. It’s a season that gives travellers more ways to experience Europe, whether they’re returning to a favorite destination or discovering somewhere new.”

NEW ROUTES, THEMED CRUISES

The 2028 season runs from early spring through December, with itineraries ranging from three to 23 nights and select expert-led themed cruises.

Riverside Debussy will begin with spring tulip sailings through the Netherlands and Belgium, followed by a journey to the Lower Danube. New nine- and 10-night itineraries between Amsterdam and Basel will incorporate the Moselle River, while later departures include Rhine cruises and Christmas market sailings.

Riverside Mahler will connect destinations in Germany, Austria and Hungary with Amsterdam and Basel during the summer, before exploring the Lower Danube in September. It will return to the Rhine in October and finish its inaugural season with Christmas sailings on the Danube.

Riverside Mozart will add a seven-night Vienna-to-Budapest itinerary featuring the Wachau Valley and a new Hungarian port, Győr, known for its Baroque architecture. The ship’s themed departures include three cycling cruises in July and August, Darlings of the Danube golf cruises and a Hungary National Day Celebration sailing in August.

Riverside Ravel will continue operating Rhône and Saône itineraries in southern France, visiting destinations including Lyon, Avignon, Arles, Viviers and Tain-l’Hermitage.

Riverside’s all-suite fleet offers king-size beds and butler service in every suite. Inclusions include cuisine prepared à la minute, premium wines and spirits, complimentary Starlink broadband Wi-Fi, unlimited shore excursions, prepaid gratuities and complimentary ground transfers.
