MONTREAL — Julie Golding has joined the team at Explora Journeys, for Quebec and Atlantic Canada, as Head of Business Relations.

“I am thrilled to be joining the Explora Journeys team,” Golding posted on her Facebook business page. “I want to thank you for your trust – it’s an honour to contribute to such an inspiring brand. I can’t wait to discover the Explora I next week and introduce you to Explora Journeys.”

She succeeds Christopher Jeffrey Racine, who previously held similar positions before joining AIC Hotels last month.

When contacted by Profession Voyages, Golding said it was her expertise in niche products that led to her being recruited by the luxury division of MSC Cruises. Previously Golding was with CroisiEurope.

“I will focus on specific agencies that have the potential to develop this type of cruise, which caters to a particular clientele,” she says.

“I will be organizing training sessions and events with all the consortiums in Canada, but the focus will really be on agencies that sell luxury goods. In a way, I will therefore be working as a kind of business development director for this specific market.”

No sooner is she taking up her post than she’s heading out to familiarize herself with the new products she would be promoting. “From August 10 to 17, I’ll be testing the Explora I between Rome and Barcelona,” she said.
