FORT LAUDERDALE — Riviera Travel River Cruises has appointed Donna Kurtz as MICE sales director for North America, a newly created role focused on charter, incentive and group travel as the brand continues its regional expansion.
Kurtz brings more than 30 years of cruise industry experience, with a background in charter and incentive sales, revenue growth and client relationships. She previously served as director of charter and incentive sales at Scenic Luxury Cruises & Tours and Emerald Waterways, overseeing the division from its launch to more than $40 million in revenue. She has also worked with Paul Gauguin Cruises and Windstar Cruises on incentive and international sales initiatives.
“Donna takes a dynamic approach to creating meaningful relationships and her proven record of success in the MICE segment, specifically, will elevate our impact as we strive to be an innovator across all lines of our business,” said Stuart Milan, president of North America for Riviera Travel River Cruises.
In her new role, Kurtz will work with Milan to develop sales strategies and strengthen relationships with travel advisors and the MICE market.
“I look forward to collaborating with the team to strengthen our partnerships, continuing to build on the impressive surge Riviera has made in North America’s leisure travel market over the last two years,” said Kurtz.
The appointment comes as Riviera prepares for 2027 launches including the world’s first fully dedicated solo river cruise ship and an expansion to Asia’s Mekong River.
