MIAMI — Celebrity Cruises has unveiled its 2028-29 deployment, featuring an expanded European season and itineraries across all seven continents.

The new program introduces new ports of call, longer seasons in popular destinations and additional opportunities for travellers to explore regions including Europe, Alaska, Asia, Australia, New England and South America.

Four Edge Series ships – Celebrity Beyond, Celebrity Xcel, Celebrity Ascent and Celebrity Apex – will sail in Europe, marking the cruise line’s most extensive European program to date.

EXPANDED EUROPE PROGRAM

Celebrity Beyond will return to Europe for the first time since 2023, offering seven- to 14-night sailings from Southampton to Norway, Iceland and Scandinavia.

The ship will feature new spaces including Mediterranean restaurant Bora and the Celebrity Pool Club, which includes Orange Peel Bar & Grille and Tacos del Sol. The latter two venues are scheduled to debut on Celebrity Beyond in November 2026.

Among the highlights are 14-night itineraries combining Iceland and Norway. Guests can visit Reykjavik, Isafjordur, Akureyri and Seydisfjordur before continuing to Norway’s fjords with calls in Geiranger, Alesund, Flam, Nordfjordeid and Bergen.

Celebrity Summit will also offer round-trip sailings from Reykjavik, providing additional opportunities to explore Iceland.

Celebrity Apex will operate 12-night Scandinavia itineraries visiting Oslo, Skagen, Stockholm, Tallinn, Helsinki and Copenhagen. The ship will also introduce new 12-night British Isles sailings covering Scotland, Ireland and England, including Celebrity Cruises’ first-ever visit to Galway, Ireland.

In the Mediterranean, Celebrity Xcel, Celebrity Ascent and Celebrity Eclipse will offer seven- to 11-night itineraries covering destinations in Italy, France, Spain, Morocco, Portugal, Greece and Turkey.

Celebrity Constellation will sail 10- and 11-night itineraries featuring Italy and Croatia, including a return to Bari, Italy, for the first time since 2014.

Celebrity Infinity will continue its year-round European program, including the cruise line’s first sailings to Egypt since 2023. The itineraries will feature overnight stays in Alexandria.

Shoulder-season sailings from Athens will visit Santorini, Kavala, Rhodes, Mykonos and Ephesus, while off-season departures from Barcelona will head to the Canary Islands, Portugal and Morocco.

MORE ALASKA AND HAWAII

Celebrity is also expanding its North American offerings for 2028.

Three ships will sail Alaska, including Celebrity Edge for a fifth season. Celebrity Equinox will make its Alaska debut with seven-night open-jaw sailings between Vancouver and Seward, while Celebrity Millennium will offer round-trip sailings from Vancouver.

Guests sailing Celebrity Equinox can also add a land-based Cruisetour featuring stays at lodges and travel by road and rail, with stops including Anchorage, Talkeetna and Denali.

Celebrity Equinox will also introduce new round-trip Hawaii sailings from Los Angeles, offering travellers a warmer alternative featuring tropical landscapes, beaches and rainforest.

JAPAN TAKES CENTRE STAGE

Celebrity Solstice will operate its first full Japan season from April through October 2028 following its renewal.

The program will include Tokyo, Mt. Fuji and overnight stays in Kyoto and Aomori, along with opportunities to experience events such as Golden Week and Gion Matsuri.

Celebrity Millennium will offer spring and fall sailings focused on Japan’s cherry blossom and hibiscus seasons as well as autumn foliage. Between Celebrity Solstice and Celebrity Millennium, travellers will have 17 opportunities to visit Okinawa.

Winter sailings aboard Celebrity Solstice and Celebrity Millennium will explore Southeast Asia, with calls in Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia and China.

The itineraries include overnight stays in Bangkok, Phuket, Benoa in Bali, Hanoi, Hong Kong and Penang.

Celebrity Millennium will also offer an overnight stay in Hong Kong on New Year’s Eve, allowing guests to ring in 2029 with the city’s fireworks.

AUSTRALIA, NEW ZEALAND & SOUTH AMERICA 

Celebrity Edge and Celebrity Solstice will return to Australia and New Zealand, with 23 sailings departing from Sydney and Auckland.

The itineraries range from four- to 14-night journeys, with destinations spanning Australia’s wine regions and New Zealand’s fjords. Celebrity Solstice will also offer South Pacific sailings visiting Tauranga, Lifou in the Loyalty Islands and Mystery Island in Vanuatu.

Celebrity Equinox will operate an extended South America season with 12- to 16-night itineraries covering five countries and returning to Antarctica.

The itineraries will include the Chilean fjords, Iguazu Falls, Patagonia and Antarctica, with opportunities for wildlife viewing, hiking and visits to penguin colonies.

Overnight stays are planned in Valparaiso, Chile and Buenos Aires, Argentina. A 16-night holiday sailing will also allow guests to ring in the new year in Antarctica.

BERMUDA & CANADA/NEW ENGLAND

Celebrity Summit will offer seven-night Bermuda sailings from Cape Liberty, New Jersey in May 2028, with two overnight stays allowing additional time for activities including scuba diving, golf and exploring the island’s beaches and galleries.

Closer to home, 12-night sailings from Boston in September and October 2028 will explore Canada and New England during the fall foliage season.

The itineraries will feature coastal communities, fishing villages and lighthouses, along with an overnight stay in Quebec City.

ON SALE DATES

The 2028-29 deployment will go on sale in stages.

Summer 2028 Japan sailings are already on sale, followed by Europe, Bermuda, Canada and New England on Aug. 25, 2026.

Alaska, Hawaii and South America sailings open for sale Sept. 1, 2026, followed by Australia and winter 2028-29 Asia sailings on Sept. 29, 2026.

Caribbean and 2029 Galapagos sailings will be available at a later date.
