TORONTO — What’s better than Travel Agent Day? How about a whole month dedicated to travel agent appreciation, starting today with Club Med.

Club Med says it’s celebrating Travel Agent Day (May 1) early this year by recognizing the dedication and professionalism of its valued travel partners with a month-long event running April 1 – 30.

Throughout April agents can visit Club Med’s Travel Advisor Calendar, a dedicated website with daily targets to hit for a chance to win prizes, including a grand prize offering the winner a chance to attend the opening event of the new Club Med Michès Playa Esmeralda in the D.R., opening December 2019.

The Travel Advisor Calendar is a continuation of the same appreciation program offered last year but with a different name, says the company.

Starting today, Club Med will also use the Travel Advisor Calendar name in its communications and Great Advisors reward program (formerly Great Agents).

The Travel Advisor Calendar has no time limits or deadlines to play, so advisors can go back through days they may have missed and play in past challenges.

Each week the most active participants will have the chance to win 12,000 points for the Great Advisors rewards program, equivalent to two free nights at a Club Med resort in Florida, Mexico or the Caribbean.

At the end of the month, the advisors that participated in the most challenges will be entered into a draw for the grand prize: a spot at the opening event for the new Club Med Michès Playa Esmeralda.
