Carnival Cruise Line updates agent portal with new enhancements

MIAMI — Travel agents will notice several new enhancements on GoCCL.com, Carnival Cruise Line’s comprehensive travel agent Internet portal.

The new upgrades, part of the cruise line’s ongoing ‘Onboard with You’ trade support platform, include a streamlined booking process that reduces the number of steps required for agents to make a booking. There’s also a new customized ‘nearby stateroom search’ feature, allowing users to more easily search for multi-category staterooms that are located within close proximity.

New booking process features include an accordion-style window to guide agents throughout each step of the booking, including guest information entry, rate selection, upsell options and stateroom category availability without leaving the page.

An enhanced ‘specialty cruise’ column has ben added, featuring new ‘Cozumel Plus’ itineraries with an option to click on a video describing the program.

Agents will find a new ‘select and add more staterooms’ feature that allows them to book multiple staterooms based on the current booking they’re working on, without having to re-enter search criteria.

And lastly, an expanded ‘stateroom information screen’ provides agents with an overview of the selected stateroom, including updated images, floor plans and 360-degree views, as well as a full description of features and amenities of the chosen stateroom.

“We’re excited to take these important time-saving ideas that we received from travel agents and apply them to this latest round of enhancements to GoCCL.com, making it more intuitive and user friendly,” said Carnival’s Vice President of Sales and Trade Marketing Adolfo Pérez.  “These enhancements to our booking engine make the booking process even easier and more efficient for our valued travel agent partners. Providing agents with better tools to transact business gives them more time to focus on their real passion of selling cruise vacations.”

A new tutorial highlighting the various upgrades is also available within GoCCL.com.
