HALIFAX — CanJet Vacations is no longer in discussions with other carriers to offer its summer program as planned and will close down, citing the highly-competitive and seasonal nature of the business.

Sister company CanJet Airlines had earlier reduced pilot and flight attendant staff as it is allocating aircraft to be positioned in the European market for the coming summer season.

At the time, Chris Kelly, VP Business Planning, said “We are hopeful we will be able to offer a summer program as planned.”
