Canadians lead the way in Cuba this year with 779,576 visiting, up 14%

HAVANA — U.S. visitors are heading for Cuba in increasing numbers but so far this year, Canadians lead the way.

Between Jan. 1 and July 10, two million visitors arrived in Cuba and the country looks ready to surpass the three million mark again in 2015, after hitting the mark last year for the first time.

Arrivals are up 16% so far this year led by 779,576 Canadians, up 14% over the same period in 2014.

There were also gains from Germany, the UK, Italy, Argentina, Venezuela, Peru and the U.S.
