TORONTO — Butterfield & Robinson has expanded its partnership with Uniworld Boutique River Cruise Collection by adding two new trips for a total of five luxury river ship experiences.

In addition to the three river cruise trips already running in conjunction with Uniworld, B&R is launching two new departures on the Danube and Seine Rivers for hiking enthusiasts and cyclists.

The seven-night ‘Seine River Cruise Biking’ begins and ends in Paris and travels down the Seine River, with biking opportunities through idyllic villages en route to Honfleur and the Crique de Rouen. Highlights include the final home of Claude Monet, the natural reserve of Lery-Poses, a day of riding through Le Mesnil, Anneville and other pretty villages, and a downhill ride along the newly built bike path of the Vallée de l’Epte. Accommodations are on the 64-stateroom S.S. Joie de Vivre, which launched in 2017. Departures run in January, February and march 2019 with prices starting at US$7,995 (single supplements at $3,300).

Also new is the seven-night ‘Danube River Cruise Walking’, an active river cruise for hikers, B&R’s fastest growing segment of traveller. With departures in late September 2019, this cruise aboard the S.S. Maria Theresa wakes up in a new locale along the Danube on each day. Passengers will enjoy a private walking tour of Passau, tour the Benedictine abbey of Stift Melk, walk through the vineyards of Vienna, visit the Little Carpathians mountain range in Slovakia, and indulge in a delicious lunch in Bratislava’s Old town. Prices start at US$8,495, single supplements at $3,100.

After strong bookings for 2018 departures on Uniworld ships, B&R has also announced new dates for its 2019 river cruise bike trips. Beginning in May 2019, clients can now book biking trips on the Rhine, Rhône and Danube rivers for 2019.
