TORONTO — From now through Dec. 18, Avalon Waterways is offering savings worth $600 per person for nearly 60 Active Discovery departures in 2019.

Not only will clients get $600 per person off the regular price, the offer is combinable with Avalon’s Fly Free offer, says the company. Avalon will provide free economy sked airfare to Europe from Vancouver, Calgary, Toronto, Ottawa and Montreal. For clients in other Canadian cities it’s a $299 add-on including all taxes.

Clients must be booked by Dec. 18 to take advantage of the deal.

Cruises on Avalon Waterways’ Panorama-class European Suite Ships come with shore excursions included in the price.

The cruise line says some of its most engaging and memorable experiences are on its Active Discovery cruises on the Rhine, Rhone and Danube rivers. Each day there is the choice of a Classic shore excursion (usually a walking tour with local guide); a Discovery excursion (such as a painting or cooking class, or a wine tasting); or an Active excursion (perhaps a guided biking or jogging tour or hike).
