Avalon’s 2018 preview includes new garden-themed voyage

TORONTO — Avalon Waterways is already looking ahead to 2018 with the release of its 2018 preview, a 56-page brochure featuring its most popular European and Southeast Asia river cruises.

Next year, the cruise line will sail 17 ships in Europe, 14 of which will be Panorama-class ships with Panorama Suites. These 200 square-foot suites come equipped with wall-to-wall windows that open over two metres, and window-facing beds.

The brochure also outlines Avalon’s themed cruises for 2018, which will include long-time favourites ‘Art and Impressionism’, ‘Festive Time’ (featuring Christmas markets), History, Wine, Jewish Heritage, Culinary and Beer. And for the first time, Avalon will offer a Garden and Nature-themed cruise onboard one of its ‘Tulip Time’ departures.

Also in Europe, the company will again feature its Active Discovery departures with an array of optional outings such as guided hiking, biking and canoeing excursions. Introduced just this year, the Active Discovery cruises are proving very popular with active boomers.

Agents should take note of Avalon’s special group policies for 2018; one in 10 – or even one in eight – clients sail free on select Europe and Southeast Asian cruises.
