CALABASAS — AmaWaterways has released the print version of its 2023 Europe Brochure featuring new itineraries, including its first-ever Seven River Journeys.
Launched in its 20th anniversary year, the brochure highlights what looks to be a “very promising” year in 2023, says Kristin Karst, executive vice president and co-founder of AmaWaterways.
“While sustainability remains a top priority, many guests still enjoy leafing through a beautiful printed brochure and we are excited to release a limited print edition of the 2023 brochure to make this choice available to them,” says Karst. “2023 is already looking very promising with a variety of new itineraries and land packages, providing our guests with even more options to embark upon unforgettable journeys, creating memories that will last a lifetime.”
Here are some brochure highlights:
Seven River Journeys
In 2023, AmaWaterways will make history as it debuts the longest river cruise experience with its first-ever Seven River Journey itineraries. These new experiences take guests through 14 countries over 45 or 46 nights during the spring, summer and autumn seasons. Space is still available on the autumn Seven River Journey departure that highlights grand capital cities, charming villages and World Heritage Sites. Included in each itinerary are new excursions, exclusive experiences, complimentary laundry and luggage services, world-class cuisine, signature Sip & Sail cocktail hours and the services of a Cruise Manager who will accompany each select group of 144 travellers throughout their journey.
Celebration of Classical Music: The Danube Cruises
AmaWaterways has added new ‘Celebration of Classical Music: The Danube’ cruises to its roster of itineraries. This seven-night cruise sails between Budapest and Vienna and highlights the rich history of classical music and legendary composers in the region. Guests will enjoy live performances in beautiful places, such as Austria’s Melk Abbey.
In addition, the cruise line is introducing a new three-night land package in Krakow, Poland, available as a pre-cruise land package on the ‘Celebration of Classical Music’ itinerary, or a post-cruise land package on the ‘Majestic Capitals of the Danube’ itinerary. The add-on invites guests to extend their river cruise experiences by three days while discovering the UNESCO-designated Wawel Royal Castel, the factory of Oskar Schindler and the hourly call of St. Mary’s bugler. A visit to Auschwitz is also available.
Majestic Capitals of the Danube Cruises
AmaWaterways is offering a new five-night ‘Majestic Capitals of the Danube’ itinerary, which highlights three of Europe’s most spectacular capital cities along the Danube river: Budapest, Bratislava and Vienna. Each day will offer an extensive choice of included daily excursions such as hilltop hikes, bike tours and tastings.
Guests can explore Krakow, Poland with the new pre-cruise land package. In addition, AmaWaterways is intruding a new post-cruise land package in Salzburg, Austria during which guests can enjoy historic walking tours including in the Austrian Lake District. They will also have the option to choose either a specialized ‘Sound of Music’ tour or a visit to Red Bull Hangar 7 where they can learn about historic aircraft and Formula 1 race cars.
