Any time a country or region imposes any sort of visa stipulation - even if it’s a waiver - the travel industry sighs a collective groan, knowing the obstacles and headaches to come.
TORONTO — With Wales being a growing destination in recent years, Royal Irish Tours (RIT) has announced a new fam trip to the destination from Nov. 4-12.
“We want agents to know we sell more than just Ireland and Scotland,” said Conor Duffy, Director at RIT. “We are excited to show them some of what Wales has to offer their clients. Our Wales & England programs have grown significantly over the last few years and we will have a greater focus on these destinations in 2020.”
Launched in collaboration with Visit Wales and Air Transat, which will be providing flights from Toronto (up to $400 supplement for additional departure cities), the fam is valued at $1,200 per person and includes the following:
• 2 nights at the Chateau Rhianfa in Anglesey
• Touring through the Wales countryside, including Snowdonia and Pembrokeshire
• Tour and tasting at Penderyn Whisky Distillery in Aberdare
• 2 nights in Cardiff
• Free time and a final night in London
Price is based on per person sharing and includes airfare from Toronto. Single supplement is also available at an additional cost (subject to availability). Full payment is due by Sept. 5; a non-refundable deposit of $300 is due at time of confirmation to secure air.
A refund of $900 will be given if cancelled up to 60 days prior to departure.
RIT offers a variety of Wales vacations, including driving holidays, and chauffeur drive & sightseeing tours. The company will also be adding six additional tour dates between May and September of its updated ‘England & Wales Classic’, a first-class coach tour in 2020.
