Another Jann Arden cruise set for spring 2021 with Avalon Waterways

TORONTO — Avalon Waterways’ partnership with Canadian music icon Jann Arden continues to thrive, with another special sailing scheduled for May 25, 2021.

Arden, who served as Godmother of the Avalon ship Tranquility II in 2015 and hosted cruises in 2017 and 2019, will take part in an eight-day voyage onboard the Avalon Expression that sails from Amsterdam to Nijmegen, Dusseldorf, Cologne, Koblenz/Rudesheim, Mainz and Frankfurt.

In addition to mingling with fellow passengers, Arden will perform a private concert onboard and participate in a photo op and CD signing.

“We are so thrilled that Jann has chosen to sail with us again,” says Stéphanie Bishop, managing director of Avalon’s parent company, the Globus family of brands, in Canada. “Our guests always tell us how much they love the fun and informal atmosphere onboard.”

Arden, who will be inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame in 2021, adds: “Come with us and see just exactly why I keep doing these cruises year after year. I am a Godmother of the Avalon Tranquility II after all!”

During the voyage, guests can enjoy themed shore excursions and the use of bikes and Nordic walking poles ashore, as well as three meals daily (including regional wines and beer with lunch and dinner) and nightly light entertainment and talks.

The majority of accommodations onboard the 166-passenger Avalon Expression, which launched in 2013, are Panorama suites, 200 square-foot staterooms featuring marble bathrooms, wall-to-wall windows that open over two metres wide, and window-facing beds.

The cruise is priced from $4,649 (excluding airfare), but travellers can save up to $600 per person if they book by April 6, 2020. Guests are also welcome to extend their stay in Europe before or after the cruise with a variety of hotel and touring packages offered by Avalon Waterways.
