American Queen Steamboat Company announces new Nashville itineraries

NEW ALBANY, IND — American Queen Steamboat Company has unveiled brand new itineraries to and from Nashville, the Music City.

With the addition of the new American Countess to the cruise line’s fleet of paddlewheelers, the company has updated its programming for 2022 with a reimagined Music City Stay Package, more special edition voyages featuring Nashville as well as additional performances onboard by country music legend Lee Greenwood.

“With demand for our close-to-home offerings still on the rise, expanding our offerings that celebrate the many dynamic U.S. river cities we visit, like Nashville, was a natural next step in ensuring we are meeting the interests of our guests,” shares Shawn Bierdz, president, American Queen Steamboat Company and Victory Cruise Lines. “Whether a novice fan or country music aficionado, Nashville is an incredible destination. We look forward to further showcasing the city to our guests throughout the 2022 season.”

Special edition voyage highlights include the “Bourbon – An American Spirit’ itinerary sailing from Louisville to Nashville; the ‘Celebrate the 70s’ voyage sailing from St. Louis to Nashville; and the ‘Star-Spangled Cruise’ sailing from Memphis to Nashville. Celebrating the Fourth of July, the Star-Spangled cruise offered on the American Countess and American Queen will welcome aboard Greenwood, a Grand Ole Opry member, for a special performance for both sailings.

Guests sailing on the Star-Spangled Cruise can also choose to experience the two-night Nashville Music City Stay Package, featuring some of Nashville’s most renowned musical attractions including the Grand Ole Opry and the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum. Tours of the latter are also available to guests.

The expanded Nashville City Stay package, available on multiple sailings throughout the 2022 season, also includes luxury accommodations at the Gaylord Opryland Resort as well as classic American breakfast at the hotel each morning, in addition to roundtrip ground transportation.

  • June 5-12, 2022: Memphis to Nashville (Clarksville) – American Queen
  • June 19-26, 2022: Louisville to Nashville (Clarksville) – American Queen
  • June 27-July 4, 2022: Louisville to Nashville (Clarksville) – American Countess featuring Lee Greenwood
  • July 3-10, 2022: Memphis to Nashville (Clarksville) –American Queen featuring Lee Greenwood
  • Oct. 23-30, 2022: Alton to Nashville (Clarksville) – American Queen
  • Nov. 6-13, 2022: Chattanooga to Nashville (Clarksville)– American Queen

American Queen Steamboat Company is currently running a Fall Sale with savings up to US$2,000 per stateroom. Guests who book an American Queen Steamboat Company voyage departing by March 31, 2022 have the flexibility to move to another 2021 or 2022 voyage penalty free up to 21 days prior to the departure.

Fares start at $1,399 per person, plus port fees, taxes and gratuities.

All guests must show proof of COVID-19 vaccination via vaccination card prior to pre-cruise hotel check-in.
