CAMBRIDGE, ON — Kyle Sparkman is the new Managing Director and head of Allianz Global Assistance in Canada, effective Dec. 1.

The announcement came from Allianz’s board of directors. Sparkman brings more than 25 years of experience in the financial services industry and has been an executive with Allianz for the past five years. Since joining Allianz in 2019, Sparkman has served as Chief Operating Officer and Chief Sales Officer.

Over the last five years, Kyle has been an integral part of our leadership team and will continue driving our Canadian strategy forward,” said Jeff Wright, Managing Director for North America and Chairman of Allianz Global Assistance. “I look forward to the energy he will bring as the managing director and I’m confident Allianz will continue to deliver exceptional value to our customers, partners and employees.”

In his new role Sparkman will succeed Chris Van Kooten who departed the company in October 2024.
