CALGARY — WestJet has appointed Todd Lindey as Director, Sales, a role in which he will oversee the airline’s Corporate, Agency, Specialty and International Sales teams, along with Sales Operations & Performance and Sales Planning & Governance.
A WestJet veteran of more than 15 years, Lindey joined the airline in 2010 at the Kitchener airport before transitioning to the commercial side of the business two years later. Since then, he has held progressively senior positions across marketing and sales, most recently serving as Senior Manager, Global Sales.
“I couldn’t be more excited to step into this role and continue building on the partnerships that mean so much to our business,” said Lindey. “The trade community has been part of WestJet’s story from day one, and I’ve seen firsthand how much these relationships matter. I’m looking forward to working closely with our agency and trade partners, bringing the collaboration and dedication that has long defined our approach so we can keep growing and succeeding together.”
During his time with the airline, Lindey led the 2017 launch of WestJet Biz, the carrier’s online corporate booking platform. He also helped drive WestJet’s international sales expansion within the travel trade, growing the airline’s presence in Japan, South Korea, several European markets and, most recently, South America.
Lindey is based in Toronto, where he lives with his family. He now reports to Amanda Ierfino, Vice President, Sales & Cargo.
