Transat’s first-ever Rookie Camp gets underway in Mexico

MONTREAL — With an eye to nurturing talent and fostering growth within the travel industry, Transat has launched a brand new training program for new travel professionals.

Transat Rookie Camp is aimed at travel professionals with less than three years’ experience, says Nicole Bursey, Commercial Director, Transat.

“At Transat, we recognize the value of a well-trained travel professional and choose to invest in the development of these rookies, who we believe are essential to the collective success of the industry,” said Bursey. “This training reflects our commitment to the agencies and our continuing desire to be a supportive partner.”

The multi-faceted curriculum, developed by Transat’s commercial team, will be delivered in destination.

In fact the first Rookie Camp kicks off today, April 4, at Paradisus Playa del Carmen & Paradisus La Perla. This g program runs until April 11 and includes 102 agents, seven partner representatives, and eight Transat / Air Transat staff.

A mix of interactive workshops, hands-on exercises and one-on-one mentoring are designed to give participants the knowledge, skills and confidence needed to promote Transat throughout their careers, added Bursey.

The sessions are led by experienced Transat and Air Transat professionals, making sure program participants get valuable insights and practical guidance.
