TORONTO — Porter Airlines is expanding its winter sun network with the addition of new nonstop service to Providenciales, Turks and Caicos, as well as a new route between Hamilton and Tampa.
The airline will launch flights from Toronto Pearson (YYZ) to Providenciales (PLS) on Nov. 6, operating five times weekly. Service from Ottawa (YOW) to Providenciales will begin Dec. 17 with twice-weekly flights, subject to government approval.
The new destination becomes the fifth addition to Porter’s winter sun lineup, following the recent announcements of service to Aruba, San Jose, Costa Rica, Montego Bay and Los Cabos.
The carrier’s broader winter network also includes Cancun, Puerto Vallarta, Nassau, Grand Cayman and Liberia.
In addition, Porter is adding new service between Hamilton International Airport (YHM) and Tampa, Florida (TPA), beginning Dec. 18. The service will operate four times weekly and marks the airline’s third Florida destination from Hamilton, joining Orlando and Fort Lauderdale.
“Porter is focused on delivering what passengers truly want – more destinations and a distinctly elevated economy experience,” said Andrew Pierce, Vice President, Network Planning and Reporting, Porter Airlines. “Travelling with Porter is designed to put passengers at ease, thanks to our signature service and genuine hospitality. We look forward to welcoming passengers onboard for their next getaway.”
Passengers on the new routes will travel aboard Porter’s 132-seat Embraer E195-E2 aircraft, featuring a two-by-two configuration with no middle seats. The airline’s onboard service includes complimentary beer and wine served in glassware, premium snacks and free high-speed Wi-Fi.
