Azores Airlines announces new nonstop and direct flight options from Toronto to Porto

Azores Airlines to increase frequency from Canada in 2024

TORONTO — Azores Airlines, the only airline offering year-round, nonstop service to the Azores, will be ramping up frequency from Canada in 2024.

In addition to 5x/weekly, year-round service between Toronto and Ponta Delgada, the airline will operate up to two weekly flights from Toronto to Terceira. Flights will depart Toronto on Wednesdays, returning on Thursdays from April 3 to May 30, and Oct. 2-24, and twice weekly on Thursdays and Sundays between June 2 and Sept. 29.

From Montreal, travellers will have the choice of four nonstop flights to Ponta Delgada, operating Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays between June 1 and Sept. 30.

In total, Azores Airlines will offer up to 11 weekly flights to the Azores in 2024 from Canada.

The Azores, known for its year-round temperate climate and outdoors activities like hiking, canyoning, whale watching, snorkelling and golf, is easily accessible, located less than 5.5 hours from Canada. Travellers can also connect to points beyond, including Porto, Lisbon, Faro, Madeira, Barcelona, Bilbao, Paris, Milan, Frankfurt and Praia. Stopovers are free in the Azores for up to seven days in either direction, and flexible branded fares are affordable. Within Canada, travellers can connect with codeshare partner WestJet or interline partner Porter Airlines.
