MONTRÉAL — Air Canada’s Mark Nasr is flying high with a new national honour, earning a spot on Canada’s Top 40 Under 40 for 2026.
Nasr, Executive Vice President & Chief Operations Officer, was recognized for achievement, leadership and community contribution.
In his current role, he oversees safe, reliable and efficient operations across Air Canada’s global network, along with the customer experience. He has additional oversight flight operations, the System Operations Control Centre, maintenance and engineering, airports, in-flight service, contact centres, international operations, crew planning, regional express carriers and onboard cabins and systems.
Vagn Sørensen, Chair of the board of directors of Air Canada, credited Nasr for accomplishments spanning Aeroplan, digital innovation, customer experience, product strategy and the airline’s global brand, as well as his current focus on operations and frontline employees.
“Mark’s recognition as one of Canada’s Top 40 Under 40 is a fitting tribute to the breadth of his accomplishments and the impact he has had on Air Canada,” he said. “Mark is an exceptional leader, and we are proud to see his achievements recognized nationally.”
Before assuming his current position, Nasr served as Executive Vice President, Marketing & Digital and President, Aeroplan, overseeing Air Canada’s products, services, customer amenities, brand, marketing and technology portfolio.
He also played a key role in the launch of Air Canada’s Glowing Hearted brand experience, including new aircraft interiors that debuted on the Airbus A321XLR and will roll out across the fleet.
Nasr’s team also spearheaded the rollout of fast, free Wi-Fi for Aeroplan Members and enhancements to onboard amenities, including premium snacks, complimentary wine and beer on every flight and cabin upgrades across Air Canada’s North American fleet.
