Air Canada reaches tentative deal with 11,000 IAMAW members

TORONTO — Air Canada has reached a tentative collective agreement with the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAMAW), covering 11,000 employees across its Technical Operations, Maintenance and Operational Support (TMOS) group.

The four-year agreement, if ratified, will be effective from April 1, 2026 through March 31, 2030.

The bargaining unit includes employees working in Technical Operations, Airports and Cargo, as well as Logistics and Supply.

Air Canada said the tentative agreement recognizes the contributions and skills of the employees represented by the IAMAW.

The agreement remains subject to ratification by union members, a process that is expected to be completed in the coming days.

If approved, it will become the sixth collective agreement reached by Air Canada in 2026.
