Air Canada reaches tentative agreement with airport and call centre agents

TORONTO — Unifor and Air Canada have reached a tentative agreement covering nearly 6,000 customer service employees working at airports and call centres across Canada.

The agreement applies to members of Unifor Local 2002, whose responsibilities include customer service, operational support, assisting passengers at airports and from contact centres with ticketing, reservations, travel changes, reward travel and online transactions. They also play a central role during flight delays and cancellations, helping passengers manage rebookings, missed connections, accommodation arrangements and compensation requests during delays and cancellations.

Details of the agreement will be released once members complete the ratification process.

Ratification meetings are scheduled to take place between June 1 and 12 in locations across Canada.

The current collective agreement expired on Feb. 28, 2026.

Unifor, Canada’s largest private-sector union, represents approximately 320,000 workers across multiple industries nationwide.
