MONTRÉAL — Aeroplan credit cardholders are getting more ways to save on travel, with new flight reward discounts, expanded lounge access and added hotel and car rental perks coming in 2027.
The upgrades begin Jan. 12, 2027, with an additional Air Canada travel benefit through AC Wallet launching Jan. 15.

MORE SAVINGS ON TRAVEL REDEMPTIONS
Starting Jan. 12, all primary Aeroplan credit cardholders will save 15% in points when redeeming for Air Canada flight rewards.
Cardholders will also receive a fourth day free when using Aeroplan points for eligible car rentals. Aeroplan’s fourth-night-free hotel redemption offer, previously a limited-time promotion, will become an ongoing benefit for eligible stays as of Jan. 12.
Through AC Wallet, Premium cardholders will receive up to $100 annually toward Air Canada travel, distributed as two $50 benefits. Core cardholders will receive up to $50 annually, distributed as two $25 benefits. The first benefit will be available Jan. 15.
Existing benefits on eligible cards, including the first checked bag free and priority boarding, will remain unchanged.
EXPANDED BENEFITS FOR PREMIUM CARDHOLDERS
Aeroplan Premium credit cardholders will gain access to Air Canada Maple Leaf Lounges worldwide for themselves and one travel companion, subject to standard access terms. The benefit previously applied only in North America and will be offered in addition to Air Canada Café access at locations across Canada.
Premium cardholders will also have access to dedicated Priority Security lanes at select airports worldwide, for themselves and up to eight companions travelling on the same reservation.
Other existing Premium benefits will continue, including Priority Check-In, Priority Boarding, Priority Baggage Handling, Priority Airport Standby, 10% Head Start and up to 25,000 Status Qualifying Credits.
Further information, including eligibility requirements and terms and conditions, will be available through cardholders’ financial institutions.
Members can continue earning Aeroplan points on everyday purchases through the program’s partner network, including Starbucks, Uber, LCBO and more than 900 Avolta airport retail stores.
