This airline is granting pre-boarding to anyone who wears an ugly Xmas sweater

SEATTLE — Your light-up Reindeer cardigan is usually good for a few laughs at holiday parties, but now it could also get you pre-boarding perks with a major airline, too.

That is the power of The Ugly Christmas Sweater, the gift that keeps on giving.

In celebration of National Ugly Holiday Sweater Day, which takes place this year on Dec. 15, Alaska Airlines is giving guests who wear their festive holiday sweaters to the airport the benefit of boarding their flight early.

Deck the halls with ugly sweaters!

The one-day promotion will be recognized across Alaska’s 115-city network and includes all Alaska, Virgin America and Horizon Air flights. In addition, holiday-themed boarding music will play throughout the month to keep guests in the holiday spirit.

This is the first year that Alaska Airlines has participated in National Ugly Holiday Sweater Day. All guests are invited to share their memories on Twitter by tagging their photos and videos using the hashtags #UglySweaterDay and #MostWestCoast.

We can’t wait to see how decked out passengers will be – the uglier, the better!
