Air France KLM announces new General Manager of Canada

TORONTO — Air France KLM has appointed Vincent Etchebehere as Vice-President and General Manager Canada, a 12-year veteran of the Group.

Etchebehere takes over for Jean-Noël Rault, who is now General Manager of the Indian Sub-Continent for Air France KLM.

Starting his career in Stockholm as a Business Intelligence analyst, Etchebehere is credited with growing the Group’s business in Northern Europe. He then occupied various revenue management positions and coordinated the partnership with Alitalia.

In Paris, he served as performance manager for Europe and North Africa Area before becoming chief of staff to the EVP Commercial, Sales and Alliances for the Group. Most recently, in 2016, he was named General Manager Mexico, during which he introduced the Airbus A380 on the Mexico-Paris route and shepherded the Cancun-Paris route’s expansion from season to year-round.

“I am very pleased to take the helm of the Air France KLM Group’s Canadian operations. I have every confidence in the teams here so that together, we may continue to offer our Canadian customers the best travel experience to Europe and beyond,” said Etchebehere.

He also emphasized the power of the Group’s strategic alliance with Delta, which allows the Group to provide an integrated offering in Europe, Africa and the Middle East, as well as WestJet.

“We will further bolster our partnership with WestJet, which already makes it possible for our respective passengers to earn and use Miles with the partner airline, which is fundamental to our goal of strengthening our presence all across Canada,” he added.

Etchebehere was on hand to meet with Canadian media and industry partners at today’s Air France Bistro in Toronto, a pop-up, Parisian-style café set up on Festival Street during the 2018 Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF). As the official airline of the festival, Air France has launched the ‘Win a luxury stay with Air France’ contest that includes two Business-class tickets from Toronto to Nice and a seven-night hotel stay. The prize also includes tickets to an evening gala at the 2019 International Cannes Film Festival.
