Air Canada, WestJet issue advisories for Bermuda-bound passengers

MONTREAL — Air Canada has implemented a policy for customers who purchased an Air Canada ticket no later than Oct. 11 and whose itinerary includes a flight to, from or via L. F. Wade International Airport (BDA) in Bermuda before Oct. 14, whose flights may be impacted by Hurricane Nicole.

Clients scheduled to travel on the affected dates can contact Air Canada Reservations to change their flight, free of charge, to another date between now and Oct. 21, 2016, subject to availability in the cabin they originally purchased. Otherwise any fare difference will apply.

Clients who purchased their ticket through Aeroplan or Air Canada Vacations are asked to contact those companies directly.

Meanwhile WestJet is advising all guests travelling to or from Bermuda on Oct. 13 to check the status of their flights prior to leaving for the airport. Additional updates will be posted as they are available.
