MONTREAL — Air Canada Vacations has partnered with Softvoyage, tapping Softvoyage’s inventory management, e-commerce and electronic distribution solutions to improve the day-to-day operations as well as the distribution of Air Canada Vacations’ products across multiple channels.
“As we work to quickly grow our business, speed to market and distribution capabilities are essential,” said Craig Landry, President, Air Canada Leisure Group. “The suite of products provided by Softvoyage, including add-on products such as seat selection, cruise and hotel only bookings, allows us to quickly and efficiently meet the demand of our customers. We look forward to our partnership as we continue to build our business in the years ahead.”
As part of the new partnership Air Canada Vacations has embarked on a full deployment of The Travel System (Softvoyage’s enterprise solution for tour operators) across all major operational departments, and the development of several interfaces to internal and external systems with a view to simplify and expedite day-to-day operations.
In addition, relying on Softvoyage’s E-Commerce Applications, Softvoyage’s teams collaborated on the revamp of aircanadavacations.com shopping engine (in both the travel agent and consumer versions), introducing several new enhancements along the way.
Because The Travel System is seamlessly integrated to the Softvoyage Distribution Network, ACV will benefit from significant improvements in the distribution of its products across the Canadian leisure travel marketplace, said Moïse Lévy, President, Softvoyage.
“Softvoyage is proud to serve such an emblematic brand and global leader,” said Lévy. “Air Canada Vacations had very specific needs moving forward, and an aggressive launch plan. I am proud to report that both teams executed outstanding work, in a relatively short time frame.”
The Travel System is an inventory management, reservation, accounting and back-end software solution built specifically for the travel industry and in operation at major tour operators worldwide. Designed to enable tour operators to operate efficiently and apply multi-channels distribution strategies, The Travel System supports the management, marketing and sale of à la carte, dynamically-assembled and pre-packaged travel offerings, across any type of travel products such as air, hotels, cars, cruises, tours, transfers, insurances and attractions.
Acting as a content and distribution hub, The Travel System connects to most global supply sources (GDS, bed banks, etc.).
With powerful management and reporting features, The Travel System’s comprehensive set of interfaces (APIs) and seamless integration to Softvoyage E-Commerce Applications make it a system of choice for wholesalers looking at improving their distribution capabilities across multiple channels with increased speed to market, added Lévy.
