MIAMI — Regent Seven Seas Cruises is counting down the days ‘til April, when after a 20-day drydock the Seven Seas Mariner will re-emerge with a brand new look and onboard amenities.

Following its refurbishment, the ship will feature a new open layout and teak flooring throughout, plus a new mosaic-tiled pool with a broad ledge for lounging in shallow water. Guests will also enjoy expanded lunch selections like steaks, chops and salmon from new infrared barbecue grills and new buffet bars at the Pool Grill.

The flagship restaurant Compass Rose will get a dramatic makeover, complete with crystal chandeliers, leather chairs and plush cobalt blue drapes, all of which complement a recently introduced menu. Diners will also enjoy the new Chartreuse specialty restaurant, which serves modern French cuisine, as well as the reimagined Prime 7 classic steakhouse.

The ship’s atrium, corridors and guest spaces will all receive new carpeting, art, furniture and décor, while the reception area, Coffee Connection, Card Room, boutiques and casino will also be revamped from the steel up. A handsome, remodeled library will feature dark-wood bookshelves, cream furnishings and a copper-adorned chandelier.

Guests booking a Deluxe Veranda Suite will be upgraded to a Concierge Suite and receive Concierge-level amenities, such as a free one-night, pre-cruise hotel package.
