ACV highlights new Sun brochure at annual #ACVDreamMakers event

TORONTO – There can never be too much sun, according to Air Canada Vacations, which recently hosted its 2nd annual #ACVDreamMakers Sun Collection Launch Event in Toronto.

Taking place on Sept. 7 at MUZIK nightclub, the event highlighted the company’s brand new 2016/2017 sun brochure, its biggest one to date. At 412 pages, the new brochure features over 600 resorts (80 of which are new to the tour operator) to more than 40 destinations in Mexico and the Caribbean. More than half of the properties featured in the Sun Brochure participate in the Privileges Program, which includes an offer of five exclusive vacation essentials: preferred room location, early check-in/late checkout, free Wi-Fi or Internet, three guaranteed à la carte dinners at all-inclusive resorts, and Aeroplan Miles.

One of the bright spots of the brochure is the new Spotlight Collection, a selection of the tour operator’s most popular resorts in Mexico and the Caribbean. Plus, ACV’s favourite Family Collection and Play program both make a celebrated comeback. There are over 200 resorts available in the Family Collection featuring kids’ pools and supervised kids clubs, while the Play program comprises over 80 hotels where kids aged 12 and under eat, play and stay for free.

Two new routes have been announced as part of the 2016 winter flight schedule. Montreal (YUL) to Puerto Vallarta (PVR) will operate on Monday, Wednesday and Friday onboard Air Canada Rouge. Halifax (YHZ) to Puerto Plata (POP) will operate on Friday onboard Air Canada. The 2016 winter flight schedule features service to Mexico and the Caribbean from all of ACV’s major gateways, including Halifax, Montreal, Ottawa, Toronto, Winnipeg, Calgary and Vancouver.

Early planners who book their 2016/2017 winter sun escape by Sept. 31, 2016 will save $600, while those who book by Oct. 31, 2016 will save $500. Travellers can also take advantage of ACV’s Price Drop Guarantee; if the price drops on any winter travel packages booked by Oct. 31, ACV will refund travellers the difference of up to $800 cash back per couple.

New for 2016, ACV has reduced its group count from 10 to eight passengers, so now only eight people (kids aged two and up included) can benefit from exclusive group travel offers. Groups of eight to 20 (including those departing from different cities) can take advantage of a reduced $300 group deposit, free rooms and flights, flexible stays of three to 29 nights, private transfers and more.
