ACTA celebrates Travel Advisor Month with workshops & Wellness Challenge

TORONTO — ACTA will be celebrating Travel Advisor Month with a series of workshops and a special Wellness Challenge.

Spearheaded by Travel Agent Appreciation Day, which takes place each year on the first Wednesday of May, Travel Advisor Month is now celebrated by many travel companies and organizations across the industry as a way to show their appreciation for travel advisors.

This year, ACTA will be hosting online Business Building Workshops sponsored by Princess Resorts, the Jamaica Tourist Board and Air Canada to help advisors get ahead in their businesses.

The workshop schedule is as follows:

  • May 1, 11:00 a.m. EDT, ‘Turbulence to Triumph’
  • Turning stress and anxiety into profitable opportunities. Uncertainty, stress, and anxiety are typically unwelcomed. In this talk, we will learn about the untold story that our anxiety wants to share and learn to turn it into a welcomed and profitable outcome.
  • May 1, 1:30 a.m. EDT, ‘Delegation: The Art of Delegating Effectively’ 
  • Empower yourself as a travel professional by mastering the skill of delegation. Learn how to effectively assign tasks, streamline processes, and leverage the strengths of your team to maximize productivity and achieve your goals efficiently.
  • May 28, 11:00 a.m. EDT, ‘Troubles into Treasures: Turning our most challenging clients into our biggest fans’
  • Some clients drain our energies and resources so much we'd be happy to lose them and never hear from them again. However, what if there is a way to turn these clients into your happiest ones that will not only do repeat business, but will likely like you so much they refer you to their network?
  • May 28, 1:30 p.m. EDT, ‘Navigating Emotions: Building Emotional Intelligence for Travel Professionals’
  • Unlock the power of Emotional Intelligence (EI) and its critical relevance in the workplace. This course aims to define EI and delve into its significance within professional settings, equipping participants with the insights needed to grasp its importance and apply it effectively.

HEALTH & WELLNESS CHALLENGE

In addition to Travel Advisor Month, May is also recognized as Mental Health Awareness Month, which is why ACTA is doubling down on its commitment to providing members with tools to enhance mental health and resilience. 

ACTA is offering members a special discount on the She Summits 10-Day Unleash Your Joy Challenge, beginning May 6, 2024.

The 10-day challenge is simple, easy and fun, and is open to everyone. Participants will get simple tools and practices to add more joy to their work and everyday life. The aim is to reduce overall stress, feel happier and supercharge wellbeing. No fitness or movement required.
