ACTA has a 3-step accelerated CTC designation for a limited time

MISSISSAUGA — ACTA says it has a new opportunity for agents to get their Certified Travel Counsellor (CTC) designation faster.

“With ACTA celebrating 40 years of experience representing our member’s interests, we are also recognizing the experience of professional travel agents by creating an accelerated path to certification,” says ACTA.

The accelerated program involves 3 steps: enrollment; verification of 10 or more years of experience; and submitting client and industry references.

The CTC certification has been the professional designation of the Canadian travel industry for over five decades, notes ACTA.

“Attaining and promoting your Certified Travel Counsellor (CTC) professional designation shows your existing clients and potential future clients that you have the proven skills, experience and commitment to excellence,” says ACTA President Wendy Paradis.

“Studies show that the value of the travel agent is on the rise and becoming certified highlights your dedication to your profession.”

Dianne Jackson, CTC and Director of Travel and Retail Product for CAA South Central Ontario, notes: “The CTC designation lets our clients know they are working with professionals in their field. We have invested in our education and take pride in what we do; it gives our clients peace of mind knowing they are working with a Certified Travel Counsellor.”

This program presents “a perfect opportunity” for Canadian Travel Agents who have postponed completing their designation in the past to realize the benefits of certification in a few simple steps, adds Paradis.

The offer is available for a limited time in celebration of ACTA’s 40th anniversary. ACTA says it will only accept enrolment through the accelerated program from Sept. 15 to Dec. 1, 2017.

“Join us for a live webinar on Oct. 4 at 1 p.m. EST as we present details of the accelerated program and discuss how being certified increases your credibility with your client and employer. Learn how certification positions you as a leader amongst your peers and opens opportunities for career advancement, offering you a strong sense of pride for your accomplishment.”
