$50 savings through May 6 for ACTA membership and certification programs

TORONTO — ACTA is on a membership drive, offering a $50 off any ACTA membership application filed between now and Travel Agent Day, May 6.

The $50 off savings also applies to all certification programs available through ACTA.

ACTA has been in constant contact with the retail travel sector, updating ACTA members and the industry at large about everything from emergency financial assistance from the federal government, to its own lobbying and advocacy work, amid the coronavirus pandemic.

Says ACTA President, Wendy Paradis: “A heartfelt thank you to the travel industry for all of your words of encouragement that have been shared with ACTA during the current industry crisis. Know that we will continue to advocate and lobby governments and stand up for you every step of the way. We understand what you and your business are going through right now, and how important it is for you to have access to resources and get the answers you need to help navigate through these unprecedented times.”

Paradis adds: “ACTA’s mission is to foster the success and prosperity of our travel agency members. COVID-19 has impacted every aspect of the travel industry, and rest assured that we are working in every corner. ACTA is laser focused on defending the 14,000 Travel Agencies and 24,000 Travel Agents throughout Canada.”

ACTA’s recent letter writing campaign, which garnered some 3,000 letters from the industry, “went a long way in moving the needle at all levels of government,” she said.

“If you are not a member of ACTA know that we are happy to fight for you too. When you are ready to become a member of ACTA, we will be proud to have you stand with us.”

ACTA members as well as non-members who are looking to help with ACTA’s efforts can make a donation to the ACTA Covid-19 Advocacy Recovery Fund. “We know times are very tough right now but if you are in a position to help us in any way, we could really use your support as there are considerable costs attached to our lobbying efforts that benefit all travel agencies, travel agents and independent contractors.”
