MINNEAPOLIS — There’s plenty of content of interest to Canadian independent travel advisors during Host Week 2023, taking place all next week thanks to Host Agency Reviews (HAR).

The annual conference, back for a third year, is a virtual event scheduled for Jan. 23 – 27. HAR says Host Week is a free weeklong virtual event “that celebrates hosted travel advisors and the industry that supports them.” 

Registration is free and open now. 

The online event includes daily keynotes from industry leaders, 25+ mini and full EduSpot workshops from industry experts, 20 (and counting) exclusive travel advisor promos from industry partners including hosts, suppliers, and travel organizations, 40 host and consortia interviews, and more.

“We’re thrilled that in our third year we’re seeing 1,300 registrants and have our most robust host/consortia interviews as well as educational sessions ever. The event has something for everyone – experienced advisors, new advisors, hosted advisors, independently accredited advisors,” says Host Agency Reviews founder, Steph Lee.

Host Week is free to advisors with the support of its event sponsors: Adventure Travel Trade Association, Nexion Travel Group, Runway, TourRadar and Travel Planners International. The conference is available on a drop-in basis, and all events will be recorded. HAR says registration for Host Week is strongly recommended so attendees can stay apprised of offerings and schedule updates. 

WHAT ABOUT CANADIAN AGENTS?

Sphere reached out to HAR, to find out what’s on offer for Canadian independent travel advisors at Host Week next week.

Mary Stein, HAR’s Senior Content Manager, tells Sphere: “Host Week is certainly open to and encouraged for Canadian advisors. On Thursday [January 26] there are host interviews with Canadian host agencies, and a Mini-EduSpot from ACTA. Most (if not all) of our EduSpots and keynotes will be relevant and helpful to Candian advisors. They’re also eligible for all the discounts they’re interested in!”

Currently some 1,451 travel advisors are registered for Host Week 2023, she adds. HAR doesn’t collect the location of registrants.
