Swan Hellenic opens North America office following relaunch

CYPRUS — Less than a year after its global relaunch, Swan Hellenic has opened a brand new office in Fort Lauderdale to expand its presence in North America.

The new office, which will offer personal service as well as a dedicated call centre, will support the United States, Canada and Mexico markets. It will join Swan Hellenic’s growing list of global offices in London, Dusseldorf and Monaco, as well as a branch office in Hong Kong and partnerships that serve India, Japan and Australia-New Zealand.

With the new office, Swan Hellenic is one step closer to offering global direct customer support after announcing its triumphant relaunch last summer. The boutique cruise brand was previously part of All Leisure Holidays in the U.K., which collapsed in 2017. It was later acquired by G Adventures but is no longer part of G’s portfolio. Swan Hellenic is now relaunching with two expedition ships currently under construction.

The new North America team is headed by GM Tom Russell, previously President of Cruise & Travel Executives, COO of Global Voyages Group and COO & Managing Director North America of Silversea. Joining him are: Mitchell Schlesinger as Sales Director North America, previously of Norwegian Cruise Line, Orient Line and Voyages to Antiquity; Andrea Corman as Customer Relations Director, previously of Voyages to Antiquity, Uniworld and Oceania Cruises; and Nick Giersdorf as Marketing & Digital Director, previously of Global Voyages Group.

According to the team, Swan Hellenic is now back stronger than ever and is ready to take cruisers to “see what others don’t.”

Said GM Russell: “It’s a privilege for me and my amazing new team to bring the iconic Swan Hellenic to North America. We can’t wait to introduce sophisticated cruise-goers across the States, Canada and Mexico to the unique exploration, cultural and creative possibilities of cultural expedition cruising.”

Two new expedition ships are being built at Helsinki Shipyard in Finland, each providing 152 guests with a personal five-star experience onboard. The first ship, SH Minerva, will set sail for Antarctica in November 2021, while the second will embark on its maiden voyage in April 2022.
