Carnival cancels more cruises on three of its ships

MIAMI — Carnival Cruise Line is deferring the deployment of three of its ships until after their dry dock plans are completed.

In a letter to guests and travel agents, the cruise line advised that it has cancelled cruises on the following:

  • Carnival Magic: Up to and including the embarkation on Sept. 24, 2021
  • Carnival Paradise: Up to and including the embarkation on May 31, 2021
  • Carnival Valor: Up to and including the embarkation on Sept. 11, 2021

According to Carnival, the ships’ deferrals are part of its gradual, phased-in return to operations in 2021.

Guests will have the option of a 100% future cruise credit combined with a generous onboard credit, or a full refund.

The news comes on the heels of Carnival’s announcement last week that it has cancelled several cruises in February departing Miami, Port Canaveral and Galveston. It is also postponing the inaugural sailing of Mardi Gras until April 24, 2021.
