Caribbean Airlines starts service between Toronto-Guyana

TORONTO — Caribbean Airlines has launched twice-weekly flights between Guyana and Toronto ahead of the winter season.

Flights between Guyana’s Cheddi Jagan International Airport and Toronto’s Pearson International Airport launched earlier this month, with flights operating every Monday and Friday. Connections are available from Trinidad and Barbados.

The full schedule is as follows:

The announcement follows Caribbean Airlines resumption of service between New York and Guyana.

Travellers entering Guyana are asked to follow the below protocols:

 

  • Take a PCR test seven days before travel and submit a negative molecular result to the airline to be able to fly
  • Wear a face mask while in the airport and during the flight
  • Complete and submit the Health Information Form to the Port Health
  • Submit negative molecular PCR test results
  • Take a temperature test and evaluation administered by Port Health
  • Observe social distancing
  • Travellers who present symptoms of COVID-19 may require isolation
