Commissionable packages a possibility down the line for BookSeats.com

TORONTO — Joseph DeMarinis says his new BookSeats.com platform is accessible to travel agents as well as consumers, and that a B2B version with commission capabilities could be in the works.

The BookSeats.com platform is built for the B2C marketplace but “agents are welcome to use the site to purchase event tickets or use it as a tool to help their customers find the best suitable accommodation, flights and event tickets to these events and potentially price match.”

DeMarinis, who was Manager, Corporate Partnerships & Events at redtag.ca for several years and also worked as a travel consultant for redtag.ca, launched BookSeats.com in October 2019.

The online platform allows users to build custom flight, accommodation and ticket packages to sports and music events around the world.

While the site is not set up to provide commissions to agents that book their clients via BookSeats.com, “this is something we are looking to eventually get involved with,” says DeMarinis.
