50 reasons to celebrate with Planeterra and G Adventures

TORONTO — Planeterra, G Adventures’ non-profit aimed at “turning travel into impact”, had 50 reasons to celebrate at Livelihood Café earlier this week.

Home of the Livelihood Project, a non-profit initiative where 66% of staff are refugees, and where newcomers can find assistance settling into their new home, the Toronto café hosted the celebrations as Planeterra marked the completion of its ’50 in 5’ campaign a year and a half early.

Planeterra launched 50 projects in the last three and a half years, benefitting 60,000 local people last year alone, and is now aiming to launch 25 more projects by the end of 2020.

With hors d’oeuvres and cocktails served by Livelihood Café staff, Bruce Poon Tip, the founder of Planeterra Foundation & G Adventures, talked about Planeterra’s next steps in achieving its Project 100 goal. Planeterra is working towards launching an additional 25 small businesses worldwide by the end of 2020, changing almost 85,000 lives each year.
