IBEROSTAR Las Letras Gran Via in Madrid is for literary lovers

MADRID — The IBEROSTAR Las Letras Gran Via in central Madrid transports guests back to a time when history’s greatest authors penned their literary work.

The hotel’s literary theme is evident in the quotes on the walls, at its reading library (an event space that used to be a printing press), as well as in the hotel lobby, which kept much of its charm from its origin as a book shop that sold titles and Andalusian mosaics. Though the hotel is steeped in tradition, it has been renovated and upgraded to include all the comforts of the 21st century.

IBEROSTAR Las Letras Gran Via in Madrid is for literary lovers“The cultural highlights and literary history that are apparent throughout this hotel make it very special. We do a lot of events with writers and editorial figures today, keeping this tradition alive. That’s what makes us stand out from different hotels, and what makes this property so beautiful and unique,” says Rodrigo Moliner Gómez, Guest Service Manager.

The hotel is located in the Las Letras neighbourhood, which owes its name to the great writers that populated its streets during Spain’s Golden Age. With its central location, it is a great spot to explore the sights of Madrid, including the Palacio Real, Museo del Prado and Plaza Mayor. A glimpse of the city can be experienced from above as well, at both the rooftop café and the rooftop pool area, both of which offer stunning views.

“Madrid has a little bit of everything, we have nice weather, great culture, many attractions, gastronomy options to eat and drink, plus great nightlife, which are the many reasons people are attracted to come and visit Madrid,” adds Moliner Gómez.

The IBEROSTAR Las Letras Gran Via offers guests three different culinary concepts, all showcasing authentic local foods and wines. Gran Clavel, for example, is a food house, vermouth bar and wine bar serving traditional dishes like potato and calamari stew and callos with chickpeas, cream of courgette, baby lamb chops or scrambled eggs. Guests also have the option of enjoying a quick coffee or snack from the traditional tapas bar.

The hotel boasts 103 well-appointed rooms and suites complete with literary quotes on the walls, free Wi-Fi, a safe, pillow menus and more. Some family, jacuzzi and terrace options are also available.
