SeaWorld and Busch Gardens to debut new coasters in 2020

ORLANDO — More thrills are coming to SeaWorld Orlando and Busch Gardens Tampa Bay next year, with each park debuting several new attractions.

This marks the first time in four years that both parks will launch new roller coasters in the same year, in addition to a new water slide in Tampa. SeaWorld and Busch Gardens Pass Members will be among the first to experience the new attractions, which include the following:

• Iron Gwazi, Busch Gardens Tampa Bay (opening spring 2020): Billed as North America’s tallest and the world’s steepest hybrid coaster, the highly anticipated Iron Gwazi – built from the wooden bones of the original Gwazi – will reach 206 feet tall and boast a 91-degree drop. At full speed, it will reach 76 miles per hour and include three inversions and 12 airtime hills along a purple steel track that spans over 4,075 feet.

• Solar Vortex, Adventure Island (opening spring 2020): America’s first dual-tailspin water slide will feature high-banking rotations, three dynamic AquaLucent elements and maximum speeds of up to 20 miles per hour.

Ice Breaker, SeaWorld Orlando

• Ice Breaker, SeaWorld Orlando (opening spring 2020): SeaWorld Orlando’s first launch coaster, named after the icy Arctic summits, will boast four launches (both backwards and forwards), culminating in a reverse launch into the steepest vertical drop in Florida – a 93-foot- tall spike with 100-degree angle. Located near the Wild Arctic Attraction, the ride’s theme is a nod to Ice Breaker’s conservation partner, Alaska SeaLife Center, which is dedicated to marine research, education and wildlife response.

Upon each launch, SeaWorld and Busch Gardens Annual Pass Members will enjoy exclusive ride time on all new attractions.

For 2020, the Four Park Pass offers incredible value, with admission to Busch Gardens Tampa Bay, Adventure Island, SeaWorld Orlando and Aquatica Orlando included.
