Club Med Canada promotes Doyon and Brouhard to title roles

MONTREAL — Club Med has announced major changes to its executive team that includes key roles in its North America and Canada divisions.

Carolyne Doyon, who headed Club Med Canada and Mexico for more than a decade, has been appointed President and Chief Executive Officer of Club Med North America and is joining Club Med’s General Management Committee. From the North American head office in Miami, she will oversee more than 3,000 employees in the area and will be responsible for sales, operations and development activities for four offices and eight resorts.

On her new role, Doyon said: “My new position will keep me in direct contact with the Canadian travel industry. The relationships that we’ve built on respect, transparency and trust will remain, even at distance.”

Doyon also noted Club Med’s “excellent” results in Canada in recent years, “which were only achieved with the unfailing support of our business partners and the collaboration of the key industry players.”

Xavier Mufraggi, who has held the President and CEO-North America position for over 10 years, is now Chief Executive Officer of EAF markets (Europe, Africa, Middle-East), and will be based in Paris.

Meanwhile, Amélie Brouhard, currently Marketing and Communications for Canada, has been promoted to Vice President, Canada and Mexico. She boasts nearly 10 years of experience in the travel industry in France and Canada, and is credited with leading the continued development of Club Med’s sales activities in Canada and Mexico.

“Now is a great time to be joining the Club Med Executive Committee in North America,” said Brouhard. “Novelties for our resorts are flourishing and the teams are passionate about the brand and their missions. I’m especially proud of the progress that Club Med has already made in Canada, and I’d like to reaffirm our complete trust in our business partners. I look forward to continuing the journey with them.”
