“Our greatest accomplishments still lie ahead”: Island Routes turns 9

MONTEGO BAY — Island Routes Caribbean Adventures is celebrating its 9th anniversary and the incredible growth it has seen in less than a decade.

After opening its doors in June 2009 with just one tour desk, the then-small company has expanded to include international operations in 12 countries and over 500 tours and excursions.

Over the years, Island Routes has been the recipient of numerous awards, including Trip Advisor’s Certificate of Excellence Award 12 times, the World’s Leading Caribbean Attraction Company Award seven times, and the Six Star Diamond Award five times.

More recently, the company launched its groundbreaking MINI-Routes in 2017, a guided tour that allows guests to drive to authentic spots in their own MINI Cooper for the day. A portion of the proceeds from MINI-Routes is allocated to the funding of community enhancement projects. Additionally, Island Routes recently increased its efforts in Destination Management Services, and added a new custom-designed double-decker catamaran to its series of Catamaran Cruises earlier this year.

On what he initially planned for the company, Adam Stewart, CD, CEO of Island Routes, said: “I had a vision to create a tour company that would show off the best of the Caribbean. Nine years ago, I actualized that vision and though our greatest accomplishments still lie ahead, I am very proud of our journey thus far.”

Stewart also praised the Island Routes staff, saying: “There is no substitute for a winning team that is passionate, consistent and intent on breaking the status quo. We do not simply want to offer the best tours, we strive to offer the best in service from the point of booking until the tour is complete.”
