TORONTO — One of Canada’s top-selling travel agents for Sandals Resorts was part of an elite team of retailers flown down to Sandals Montego Bay for a VIP trip marking the resort company’s Chairman’s Royal Club retreat.

Travel Time – TPI’s Lois Barbour, based in St. John’s, Newfoundland, was among the more than two dozen travel agents taking part in the annual retreat, held at the recently renovated resort April 20-24, 2018.

The Chairman’s Royal Club is made up of the top-selling and most loyal agents for the Sandals brands.

During the retreat agents were able to spend quality time with the Chairman of Sandals Resorts, Gordon ‘Butch’ Stewart. Stewart opened the flagship Sandals Montego Bay resort in 1981 to launch the Sandals brand.

Other senior executives also in attendance included Gebhard Rainer, CEO of Sandals Resorts International, Tammy Gonzalez, CEO Of Unique Vacations Inc. and Gary Sadler, Sr. Vice President of Sales.

Activities ranged from tours of Sandals Negril and Beaches Negril to an Island Routes Reggae Catamaran Cruise, as well as a wedding presentation by Director of Romance Marsha-Ann Brown and a Sandals Foundation update from Heidi Clarke, Executive Director.

Agents also took part in a round-table discussion with various members of Sandals’ executive management team.
