YVR passengers can connect with Hong Kong Airlines’ new Manila service

HONG KONG — Hong Kong Airlines has announced new service to Manila starting June 1, which will allow for easy connections in cities like Vancouver, Los Angeles and San Francisco in North America.

Hong Kong-Manila and Manila-Hong Kong services depart daily, as do Vancouver-Hong Kong and Hong-Kong Vancouver. Hong Kong Airlines will deploy an Airbus A320 on the new route, which will be outfitted with a single-class configuration and offer 174 seats in Economy.

According to the Hong Kong Tourism Board, visitor arrivals from the Philippines reached 894,489 in 2017, a 13% increase from 2016. Michael Ma, Director of Commercial at Hong Kong Airlines said that the new service will meet the increasing travel demand between the two countries and beyond.

“Demand for flights between the Philippines and Hong Kong has been growing steadily, and we are pleased to offer customers more travel options than ever,” he said. “Our entry into a new market marks and exciting milestone for us, and we look forward to developing this even further.”
