ACV to match all employee donations made in support of Humboldt families

MONTREAL — Following last week’s tragic bus crash that killed 16 members of the Humboldt Broncos junior hockey organization, Air Canada Vacations is showing its support by inviting all employees to contribute to a GoFundMe page dedicated to the victims’ families.

“This tragedy has shaken us all. It is in these difficult times that it is our duty to come to the aid of the families affected by these tragic circumstances,” said Nino Montagnese, Managing Director at Air Canada Vacations.

ACV is going one step further by matching all employee donations made today, April 12. Royal Caribbean International will also provide support by matching ACV’s donations. All proceeds will be donated directly to the GoFundMe page.

In addition, ACV employees are being encouraged to participate in today’s ‘Jersey Day’, an initiative that was first proposed on Facebook by a group of hockey parents in British Columbia as a way to honour the Saskatchewan junior hockey team. #JerseysforHumboldt has spread throughout the country, with thousands of Canadians pledging to either don their sports jerseys or wear a green ribbon, the team’s official colour.
