Atout France, Air France bring Joie de Vivre to GTA agents

TORONTO — Atout France and partner Air France showcased new and interesting travel product for the travel trade at their annual Destination France event in Toronto recently.

The 2017 theme, ‘Joie de Vivre’, celebrates what France is all about, specifically its hospitality, beauty and diversity, its art and architecture and all the other things that France stands for in the eyes of its visitors.

One of the participants, Paradis Latin Cabaret, is located in the heart of Paris and was built by Gustave Eiffel in 1889. Its ‘Paradis a la Folie’ show features 35 dancers and 15 magical presentations as well as acrobats and jugglers. All performances are accompanied by meals made on site with fresh products coupled with the best vintages of Bordeaux , Burgundy and Champagne.

Other participants include Grevin Museum Paris and Parc Asterix Comapgnie des Alpes, Bordeaux, Chenonceau, Chateau Royal d’Ambroise, Provence, and Montpellier-Mediterranee.

Canadian tour operators participating included ACV, Boutique Escapes, Club Med, Tours Chanteclerc, Transat and Victours.

Air France outlined its new offerings for the Canadian market including year-round flights from Vancouver, Montreal and Toronto with up to 33 flights a week in peak summer season. Air France also announced a shuttle bus service from Quebec City to Montreal-Trudeau airport and the introduction of the brand new B747 Dreamliner on the Paris-Montreal flights effective May 1.

The airline also confirmed the contribution of Michelin starred chef Daniel Boulud to its Business Class menu exclusively on flights out of Air France’ three Canadian departure cities.
