ACV celebrates Canada’s 150th anniversary with new air-inclusive collection

TORONTO — To tap into what will surely be a greater demand for Canada in its 150th anniversary year, Air Canada Vacations has launched its ‘Go Canada Collection’, featuring a full range of air-inclusive vacation packages from coast to coast.

The collection is comprised of over 150 “close to home but far from ordinary” packages, which are divided into seven categories that include: Urban Getaways, Guided Tours, the newly curated Wildlife Adventures, Fly & Drive Vacations, Fly & Rail Vacations, Ski Vacations, and Golf Vacations.

Go Canada will expand each year to include more accommodations, tours and attractions.

“The new Go Canada collection is vital to Air Canada Vacations’ growth strategy and long-term plan. It will enable us to further align and utilize Air Canada’s extensive flight network and further contribute to the airline’s expansion,” said Craig Landry, President, Air Canada Leisure Group.

Landry went on to note that Canada welcomed a record number of visitors last summer, the most in a decade.

Urban Getaways include flights, hotels and a free excursion to Canada’s top cities, such as Vancouver, Toronto, Montreal, Ottawa, Halifax and as far north as Whitehorse.

Guided Tours include flights, meals, activities, accommodations and tours through Banff and Jasper, the Canadian Rockies, cities in Eastern Canada and Bay of Fundy, to name a few.

Wildlife Adventures allow clients to get up close and personal with Canada’s magnificent wildlife, like belugas, grizzly and polar bears, orca whales and harp seal pups.

Ideal for the free-spirited traveller, Fly & Drive Vacations offer flights, car rentals and suggested itineraries with hotel bookings. Itineraries include ‘Hiking Escapes of the West’, ‘Mountains to Oceans’, ‘Yukon Alaska Golden Circle’ and ‘P.E.I. and Anne of Green Gables’.

Fly & Rail itineraries include Rocky Mountaineer and Alaska Cruise in the West, Trans-Canada by Rail in the East, and From Lobster to Poutine in the Atlantic. All packages include flights, accommodations, train tickets, meals and cost of all activities.

Ski Vacations include flights, hotels, lift tickets and access to the country’s best slopes, including Banff, Sun Peaks and Whistler in Western Canada, and Mont Ste-Anne and Tremblant in Eastern Canada.

Lastly, Golf Vacations include some of the best courses in Canada bundled with flights and accommodations. Featured golf courses include those on the grounds of Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge, the Westin Bear Mountain Victoria Golf Resort, and Rodd Brudenell River Resort in P.E.I.

For the launch, ACV is offering travel agents 3X ACV&ME loyalty points, plus 15% commission on packages booked by Feb. 28, 2017. And in celebration of Canada’s 150th anniversary, clients that reserve these packages by the same date will save $150 per adult, $100 per child and receive 3,000 bonus Aeroplan Miles.

Agents can book Urban Getaways, Ski and Golf Vacations on Sirev and call to book the other categories. The entire collection can be found on aircanadavacations.com.
