Encore Cruises’ latest SEA U event draws 100 participants

TORONTO — Encore Cruises’ third annual SEA U event, held last week together with 100 participants from across Canada onboard the MSC Divina, was a “huge success”, said the company.

The 2014 seminar-at-sea program – which sailed a one-week Eastern Caribbean itinerary out of Miami – ran May 3 – 10 and featured information-packed sessions with 10 cruise line partners and airline partner WestJet, as well as outlooks on the Canadian cruise market and emerging trends, sales coaching sessions, and tips and tricks when it comes to social media marketing, among other topics.

“SEA U 2014 was definitely the best one yet,” said Amr Younes, VP, Encore Cruises. “The venue was exceptional, with MSC Cruises going above and beyond; the content was informative and relevant, with agents rating the quality as ‘excellent’ in a survey we did afterwards. Everyone enjoyed every minute, with agents saying they would ‘definitely’ recommend SEA U to colleagues.”

The cruise line partners who participated were: host MSC Cruises, AMAWaterways, Avalon Waterways, Azamara Club Cruises, Carnival Cruise Lines, Costa Cruises, Holland America Line, Hurtigruten, Norwegian Cruise Line and Royal Caribbean International.

Dates and details for the next SEA U will be announced shortly for the spring 2015 session. Space generally fills up fast so agents are asked to register as soon as possible. Agents can also visit the SEA U by Encore Cruises Facebook page where you’ll find more information and photos from the week.
